Gold Foil Abstract Painting

These gold foil abstract paintings are so much easier than you would think! They make the perfect wall piece for a living room or bedroom and you can do any color!

First, I put modge podge on the canvas in the places I wanted the foil then I carefully placed the foil and tapped with my finger to get that "distressed look." Next, I mixed my paints with a paint thickener (you can get at hobby lobby) and began making long vertical strokes in the different colors while they were still wet to create almost a tie dye effect. I have made these for my friends as well and they are much more affordable to make than purchasing (in my opinion.)

What you will need:

Canvas in any size

Modge podge

Gold foil

Paint in three shades of your choosing (most likely white will need to be a color)

Paint brushes
